“Silver Print” is an accepted term among English-speaking photographers and means that the image has been traditionally produced in a darkroom by exposing a negative onto photosensitive paper, either with a plastic-coated surface (RC) or fiber-based paper (considered higher quality both in tonal values and for preservation purposes).

Platinum/Palladium is a technique that has its roots in the 1830s. A very labor-intensive technique with very expensive chemicals and paper. The chemicals are brushed onto a 300g cotton paper. Together with a negative of the image, exposure to UV light and development results in an image with unique depth. It is the only photographic technique that produces an image unaffected by the passage of time or light. Thanks to the fact that the metals are the most noble and that they penetrate deep into the paper (unlike other techniques where the image rests on the surface of the paper), the image will remain the same for hundreds of years, or as long as the paper holds together. The result is a completely unique image with a very deep and special grayscale. Every image is entirely unique, and it is impossible to make two identical copies.
